fountain 015

Here's a vignette I'm working on showing some German prisoners from The Falaise gap battles. The uniforms are a little too dark I think. I experimented with citadel paint dark washes over vallejo and I'm thinking I should have started with a lighter base colour.
The fountain is from Value Gear and the cobblestone base is from a vacform sheet by T.M.Diorama.

I switched out the officer for a landser and I still have to add one or two british Soldiers around the fountain and dirty up the whole scene

Nice scene and overall concept Pat. Painting is good so far but you may be right about the initial coat being too dark. You would get some more contrast going if you lighten up the proud areas and maybe add some black to the major demarcation lines?

Pat I cannot comment on the accuracy of the colours but it is a good composition.
