Friends,
We're almost a month on our way. I decided to give you some rest the last few weeks, and didn't bother you with my status requests. My feeling says it's quiet out there....Too quiet ?This means that you are building with lighting speed and haven't got the time to post updates ?
How's it going ? Have you encountered any problems, are you on course, waiting for the ordered goods to arrive... please fill me in with all the details....
I would love to hear how everybody is doing...

slodder - reporting in sir.
Construction is moving along nicely, 251 80% complete construction phase. Figures are cleaned and ready for a bit of glue.
Base has taken a couple of turns in the planning phases, still not 100% sure on how it's going to be, the intel is always jumping around based on incident reports and supplies available.
Photos due this coming weekend.

Graywolf reporting Sir.
Dutch resistance figures correction is done. MP40s changed to Stens, gunslings to lead foil ones and jackets are a little longer now. Now I am working to convert a figure to a Dutch commando or a Princess Irene Brigade member and a few US paratroopers..I am also thinking the building part of the diorama. I will give a short break to my project for a Cover up campaign vignette soon.
best regards..over

Nelson reporting in Sir!
I have my PzKpfw IV well underway... got the zimmerit on and I'm fighting the PE right now. I'll post some pics once it looks like a tank :-) The figs are en-route from the hobby shop, and I should finalize the layout this weekend. I still need some info on the road from Arnhem to Oosterbeek. Was this paved - or was it a gravel road? The setting I want is a tree-lined road, similar to Hell's Highway - but I don't know if the road between Arnhem and Oosterbeek was paved or not... any help would be appreciated :-)

Wolfsix reporting in sir
Dio plan is firming up, the completed idea is as follows: XXX corps links up with the 101st airborne at Nijmegen. There has been some trouble with intel, but efforts continue. Some questions still need to be answered before much forward movement can begin. The questions are as follows
1. What was the lead unit of XXX Corps, some sources say it was the 2nd Houshold
Cavalry, still others claim it to be the Irish Guard more intel is needed.
2. Depending on what unit is involved what was their vehicles and equipment.
3. What condition was the city in.
Efforts are underway to find answers to the questions, plus more detailed sketches continue to take form.
[note] upcoming holidays may cause delays will advise

Jeff, the movie ABTF had the road as a gravel/packed dirt road with 30 -40 yards of tree less field then trees lining the field. Don't honestly know how accurate it is. Can't think of a XXX Corps photo off hand - I'll keep an eye out for it and send a runner if I find out something.
Wolf/Harry, again the movie has the lead unit as the Irish guard and they were equiped with Shermans (don't know specifics). Again. Don't know how accurate the movie made it.
I'll keep an eye out for you too and send a runner your way if I find anything.

Andy reporting for duty,
After many changes to the plan intel has chosen one involving two red devils hiding in a drain with germans on the road above them. The red devils arrived today( thank you PLMP110/Patrick) base has been started pics sometime this week. Just waiting for germans.

Stug III is advancing slowly but steadily, friul tracks are completely assembled and ready for painting, lower structure is ready, upper hull is getting it's PE, road wheels still need to be assembled.
No figures started as of now.
Dio: 3 trees in several stages of completion, base plate ready to have road surface put on.
I will post pictures as soon as I've got something worth posting (Stug ready for painting for instance).

As far as photos go - I have created a folder in my gallery and am putting all the inprogress images there. I've got a few, nothing new though (from 11/15).
I'm going to keep them there throughout.

Jeff - check this site out for the road types.
http://www.marketgarden.com/new/gallery2frame.html
This may not be the specific road, the photos show the majority of the 'out of town' road as being packed dirt/gravel. Depending on where you want your diorama to be set you my be able to 'extend' these photos.

Here Mekgek reporting in Sir.
Started on the construction of the front of the house.
Also busy in building the lower part of the Sherman Firefly (almost finished), starting with the upper hull.
Trying to convert a horse with a saddle into one without.
So a lot of scratchbulding needs to be done, especially when you would like to change the position of the neck and the head of the horse.
But....still having fun.

Volkie's back ! Just saw him strolling through the countryside a few clicks west of Arnhem.
Coming in range, almost walking straight into my dio !
I started to "clean up" the resin, and filling small holes. Ready for primering tonight.
This will be a small 1/16 dio...

Well its under way, progress is slow but steady.
Im spending lot of time touching up the Cromwell figurs. Changing heads to better ones from Hornet and Resicast. Many hands have replaced and many cut down to be resclupted.
Ive been using equipment and weapons from Tamiya british infatry set and Ive spent the yesterday and today putting on rifles straps with Aber buckles and hangers, fidly but they look good.
During the week Ive been surfing, pulling strings and checking books to get me enough information about the Radio used by the troops. It took sometime but I finally got it.
I hope to have the figures primed within two weeks. There some filling and sculpting left.
Then Im gonna start the final layout with the figures and see how the interact and make the dio.
