Ok guys this question has probably been asked several times, but my figure painting currently lets down my dios.
Any suggestions on books/articles/videos to look at to help improve this.
Thanks
Paul

Hi paul,
I found the vallejo panzer aces range of flesh tones/uniform colours and the flesh wash really brought on my figure painting. The good thing about the panzer aces range is that they have tailored the range towards various countries uniforms with normally a base colour and a highlight. I found them to be great to work with and easy to use.

Dan

thanks, I'll look into them.
My main issue is that no matter what I do the uniforms end up shiney..
I'd like to get a realistic dull worn look into the uniform and webbing...

Hi Paul,
I strongly recommend you get the MXpression DVD called "How to paint a 1/35th figure using acrylics" by Oliver Kovacs.
You can by it from Historex.
I couldn't paint figures a year ago & this is what I'm doing now after watching the DVD a few times.
Also, get yourself some Winsor & Newton "Series 7"brushes (sizes 1,0,00) & a daylight lamp with magnifying glass. I got my lamp from www.shesto.com
Follow the DVD & soon you'll be painting some quality figures.
Good luck!
Joe.

wow Joe, those figures look excellent...
I'll have a look at your recommendations, and I'll post pics when I've attempted.
Thanks
