I'm nuts about Cold War US vehicles that bring me back to the good ol' days of steel pots, beer in the barracks vending machines and the significance of mail call before Skype and cell phones.
Wanting to build a bridge layer. I know you can get aftermarket conversions for an engineering vehicle, but can't seem to find any bridge layers.
Any ideas? Maybe even some ideas about kit bashing to build from scratch?

I guess Hobby Fan M48 AVLB could be a good starting point (...if you're not on a budget )

back in the 60s Revell did an M-48 AVLB that is re-issued as a History-makers kit. The tank part would make a 5yr old wince but the bridge part is reasonably good. Not sure about the scale (close to 35th) but it would make a good starter.

While we're on the subject, a Kraz launched PMP would be welcome. In1/35 of course.

I would like to see a modern bridge layer in plastic myself.
