Here are a few photos of the M-977 HMTT gun truck Mad Max that I am doing for the T2K campaign. http://community.webshots.com/photo/96573141/101924735xUVbxn any suggestions are always welcomed. I will be arming this one with two XM-134 mini's and two M-2 50's also. There will be steel mesh around the front crew armor box to deflect grenades and other nasties from being thrown in. The drivers cab armor is hydrolic as is the radiator grill. The door armor has been place inside the door as we didi in Vietnam on some of those trucks. view my selected link under the T2K Campaign header for more photos

Yes I got a new one(AB) the other day. This truck will be all black in the tradition of the Nam Trucks.

ANIMAL,
LOVE it!! It looks like its coming along pretty good.
One question tho? A rear crane? Since its BIG SLO and a guntruck I dont see the need.
I love the Quad mount, good idea. and the overhead cover for the pulpit is a nice touch.

Good point. I will remove it. I could use it for something else I have cooking. Thanks for the suggestion.

Howdy animal!!

Man O man........gotta love what your cooking there Rock, ,err....oops, I mean animal!! As I said on another thread, I am extremely happy to finally see you building a HEMTT GunTruck! :-) .
I have been curious about what kind of flavour you'd incorporate in your 'Battlewagon', and I'm glad to see you're building a real 'Hellion'!
I also agree whole heartedly with Rotor (do I have to ) on the crane inclusion. I have seen this on other builds and don't quite understand the retention.
Again, as I said on the other thread, I also like the overhead protection for the troops in back. You also mentioned you'll be putting steel mesh around the "front crew armour box", do you mean the area under the cover?
Can't wait to see the next 'in-progress' pics from ya animal!................................hurry up! :-)

Tread.

The steel mesh is going around the armored box. the loaders for the Quad and the two other gunners will be in the box wihen contact is made. I am removing the crane.
