I am looking for some extra tow missle tubes. This jeep has a low price so I am looking to possibly buy it for them. I have a few questions about the missle tubes. Does anyone know if these missle tubes are the same ones that we use today. I know that the missle has been around for a while and this vehicle appears to be a bit older, so I need to know if the missles that come with it could be used in a desert storm hummer. (I am going to put them on the racks in the back). I would also like to know if the kit comes with decals for the missle tubes. Also, are these the same missle tubes that come with the M-2 bradley kit by Tamiya with the interior details. This kit has a stack of 3 missle tubes and I would like to know if they match the tubes from the jeep kit. I hope I explained this O.K., I know there is a lot of detail on 2 kits but if anyone knows I would be greatful for any help.

Yes, the TOW tubes are still and always have been the same as we use today. They are the same as were used in Desert Storm and would work fine in a DS Hummer, however, Academy makes a great M966 Tow Hummer that comes with the correct missle rack for a HMMWV, and a night sight as well. They are also the same as the TOW tubes in Tamiya Bradley model. If I remember correctly, the decals that come in the M151A2 kit for the TOW missles are for inert training missles, not correct for a service missle. There really are not many markings on the missle tibes, especially because they are reused. Most of the tubes are pretty beat up and paint coler can vary as well.

Man Epi, I think if I get mugged I am going to expect you to jump out of the bushes and save my butt, I am just getting use to it happening every time I need help. If you do let me know. I insist on paying at least shipping this time and maybe trading a couple items from the resin stuff I got. HeavyArty, thanks for that info also. It will help me out also, very useful.

Well Andrew, your in luck. I found 7 TOW missiles in my spares box. How many did you need?
I'll tell you what, is there anything else you might be looking for as far as small stuff. If I can get you a bunch of little stuff, Ill be willing to let you pay for the shipping this time, If not, Im going to just send them to you. Look at it this way, your helping me clean out my spares box.
