I can't do Nazi stuff also. I respect the great mechanical achievements they made but it just rubs me wrong putting those swastikas on them.
Anyway that M48A3 looks great much more refined than the Tamiya kit. The lines are much better. But to not have the cover over the mantlet is crazy. I'll wait for an aftermarket kit to come along before I buy that M48.
The Legend kit is OOP as far as I know. Although you see them on ebay sometimes.
Do the drive sprockets have the mud cutouts?

I built a ton of WWII German stuff before I defected to Cold War armor and I don't think any of the 40+ kits I built had a swastika on them. The only WWII armor I've seen with swastikas were Finnish.
Anyway back on topic, are any AM companies working on a mantlet cover yet? I suspect Legend will release an update set for the kit. They're usually pretty quick too, they had a Tiran 5 update right after the Tamiya kit was released.

Your build looks like it's going well. Shame about the fit issues.
Legend has Updates planned. More than just the mantlet cover. By the way, there's more than one IDF M48 with no cover. Save those uncovered pieces for swapping out.
