Looking good Pierot, but maybit a bit too clean for my personal taste. I like the suggestion by 80a2 to add some vegetation... this would break the monotone area in front of the house a bit and would therefore spic up you dio.

The second and last thing that caught my eye was the door on the second floor...it looks a bit glossy. Maybe that's just because of the flash while making the picture. If not the fash, I would flatten it down a bit with a flat clear coat.

Howdy pierrot,

The dio looks great so far, and the fig's seem to be positioned well. IMHO a dio needs to tell a complete story. If I may, I think yours needs some added 'tension'. It's obviously a highly charged atmoshere surrounding a SWAT team door entry like that.....but I don't sense the danger. Maybe another armed figure inside the house with a shotgun pointed at the door that can be seen from thru the windows? Or the upstairs door just ajar with someone laying down on the upper floor reaching out with a weapon thru the opening?......just suggestions.

Cool idea! The only thing I would say is you need to replace the mp5 with a hand gun on the fig with the ballistic shield. I work for the Sheriff's office and help the swat team train and if they enter with the shield they use a hand gun with it. They have more control of there gun that way. Also watch for cross fire...make shure that no one is pointing there gun at another team member....the fig with the hand gun on the stairs should have his gun pointed more twords the ground until he is closer to the door. Think like the swat team...one last thing, the fig with the shot gun is in a good spot just move him in twards the building to give him cover if he needs it. Think cover, cover, cover!
Other than that I like the dio, great idea.
Even if you dont do anything I told you about it still looks cool and most people wont notice the stuff I talked about. I work with it so it stands out to me....
Again great job.

Hi Pierrot,

I like your dio but there are a few things that could be improved. Here is what I would do to elevate this to an outstanding diorama:

1. The basement window is missing. Since you haven't built a basement under the house it might be a good idea to make a window frame with dark glass in it or just to cover up the opening with wood. This way you will give a viewer an idea of abasement without having to show it.

2. The area around the house seems very empty. Addint a small tree, couple of bushes or a fence might liven it up a bit.

3. The stairs are very clean (too clean) and they are also painted in a lighter shade of gray (lighter than the rest of the house). I would try to match the colors more.

4. Ivy on the side of the house (although a nice touch) looks very flat. It looks more like moss. You would need to add some depth to it to represent the leaves and small branches.

I hope these hints and suggestions will be helpful to you. They are meant to be constructive.
