Hi,
I'm having difficulty finding reference pictures of the Dragon Wagon tank transporter in Korea during the Korean war, if anybody could help me out that would be great, any variant with any load would be much appreciated.
Thank in advance,,
James

Try searching for references on the 57th Ordnance Recovery Company. I believe they used the M26A1 in Korea.

Sounds like you need to do some modifications from the basic Tamiya kit to update it for the Korean war.

Yes, the trailer in Korea was the M15A1, which was widened, strengthened to hold heavier loads, and had ramps added over the wheels. Real Model has a conversion set if you want to go that route.

Hi,
Thanks for your help guys, the pictures and advice have been great! I think I'll probably use the Real Model conversions for the M15A1 trailer and the M26A1 cab. I would quite like to model an armoured cab M26 carrying a softskin cab M26 but then a captured T-34/85 seems like quite an appealing load as well!

What about the old MAX kit I know the cab unit was pants. But how far out was the trailer unit as wheels would be no problem?

Hi david,
I don't know much about the max kit, I've got Tamiya's kit so if the Max trailer isn't bad then I could always kit bash the two, but I don't know how it would compare to using Real Model's conversion.
Does anybody know more about the Peerless Max Dragon Wagon?
Thanks,
James
