Folks,
Not knowing too much about Sherman Versions (except the IDF ones) i'm looking for a M4A4 hull for a conversion project - i want to build an IDF M32 HVSS.
I have a M4A3 Upper hull,a kit part, i dont know of which brand that i dont need and can trade it.
or what kits on the market will give the M4A4 hull?
TIA
Eran

I do not know of all of the available ones, but you can use a few of the DML/ Shaghai Dragon kits.
You can use the M4A4 Sherman #:6035, M4A4 with 60 lb rockets #:6041 ,and Sherman Firefly Vc #: 6121. Be aware that the kit's suspension are not not all accurate. I think that #s 6035 and 6041 need corrected ones. I'll have to look over my sources and get back to you with more definitive info.

Hi Eran;
Kencelot is correct. You will need to buy one of the DML/Dragon M4A4 or Firefly Mk. Vc kits. These are the only M4A4 kits in plastic; all the others are resin and, as such, quite a bit more expensive.
The lower hull of the DML/Dragon kit needs modification to be truly accurate but could be built OOTB without sweating it too much.
You can't just put an M4A4 hull on an M4A3 hull and get it to fit. Both the upper and lower hull of the M4A4 are longer because of the engine. So you need to buy an M4A4 kit specifically to make your conversion.
I would suggest buying the DML/Dragon M4A4 variants and the M4A3E8 Korea or WWII versions and melding the two together. You can use the HVSS parts from the M4A3E8 kit to mate with the M4A4 hull and chassis to make your M32 and then mate the VVSS from the M4A4 kits and the M4A3E8 hull to make a VVSS M4A3. Or use the DML/Dragon M4A3 HVSS POA-CWS-H5 Flamethrower tank and end up with a M4A3 105mm VVSS after your M32 conversion.

EKAUFMAN,
Why an M4A4 based M32 ?? None were built As for the M4A2:There were only 26 M4A2 based M32's built, and the Israeli's got "0". The M32's in Israeli service are based on the M4 and M4A1 hulls, with later additions of the M4A3E8 hulls to follow. Doing an M4A4?M4A2 based ARV would be pointless for An Israeli vehicle. AND to make things even more pleasing to you. You can build any of the other (3) a lot easier w/ better parts availability.

Verlinden make a resin M4A4 hull, also MP Models (now defunct) made an M4A4 hull that you may still find around.
You can also get the Dragon Firefly Vc wich has the M4A4 hull and let the turret aside for another project.
I donīt now if Tank Workshop make an M4A4 hull, but they have excellent conversions sets, you can check this one also.
