I am aware of Archer Transfers (and have one of thier sets), but are there other companies out there that make markings for modern vehicles? Any and all recommendations are welcomed.

Jeff, Archer sent me a complementary set of their OIF Abrams markings for assisting them in their creation. They sent me both 1/72 and 1/35 scale transfers:
The 1/72 scale markings are identical but the stock numbers are AR72... and run between $2.95, $3.50, $4.50 and $4.95.
I've also got a set of Pre-Size Model Specialities' #1125 Black Vehicle Numbers, Bumper/Hull Stencils, Unit Identifcation. This is a 1/35 scale set of generic black numbers and letters to make you own bumper markings. Also included in this set is the armor triangle, solid and two different dashed triangles. The set includes scale 3" and 4" markings, but no black stars. This set ran me $4.
The Verlinden set I have is set #162 Modern US Army Code Numbers and Stars (Black) and it includes a variety of pre-configured names and standard labels (No Smoking, US Army, etc.) as well as a decent assortment of letters and numbers to make your own bumper numbers.
The Tamiya set I have is #66536 Modern Military Decal Sheet A. There are some US Gulf War markings, but no bumper markings. It includes some tact signs and coalition chevrons and individual unit art markings. There are other nations as well as UN markings included.
- AR35190 OIF M1A1, A2 Abrams barrel art (15 different slogans) $10.95
- AR35191 USMC M1A1s in Iraq (OIF) builds two of three vehicles $7.95
- AR35192 3ID Abrams in Iraq (OIF) builds three M1A1s of TF 1-64 Armor $10.95
- AR35193 USMC Abrams in Iraq (OIF) builds one M1A1 of MPS II $3.95
- AR35194 USMC Abrams in Iraq (OIF) builds one M1A1 of 1st TKS $3.95

I had forgotten to check Verlinden, those look pretty good. I also checked the availability of the Tamiya decals, and they appear to be OOP, any idea where I can pick some up?
