Hey everbody,
I was wondering if someone could point me in the right direction here.
I broke the rubber tracks when building an Academy M113 and replaced them with a Tamiya set. I now need to replace those. I have seen individual link sets but I just feel that the Tamiya rubber tracks are the best and most user friendly.
Is there anyway that I can order just the tracks from somewhere?

unless the broken tracks are totalled they can be repaired by super glue, stapples or sewing thread. you can sometimes hide the repair under a roadwheel or on an upper run behind mud/sand skirt. AFV may make aftermarket tracks. iirc

Steven and David. I appreciate the feedback. Unfortunately, when I broke the first Academy track, I threw at on the floor and my little yorkshire terrier then happily carried them away to chew them. The AFV tracks are good, but they're individual links aren't they?

Frenchy! You're a legend. Those look good. How do they fit and work in general?

You're welcome Keigan. I haven't seen them "in the flesh" but I guess they should be very similar - if not exactly the same - to Academy and Tamiya tracks...But it's just a guess

The AFV Club vinyl tracks are much more accurate than the Tamiya or Academy kit tracks, both of which feature wrongly shaped track pads.
However please be aware that AFV club vinyl tracks were made to fit the AFV club kits based on the M113 chassis.
That being said they fit the Tamiya drive sprocket okay, though they might benefit from a spacer. However I cannot comment on their length compared to the Tamiya tracks, although if you fit the track cover any unsightly join issues could be easily hidden.

I've used the AFV Club tracks on my Tamiya M106. I had to thin down the sprocket teeth a little, and it looks like the tracks may be one link too long. Still, with these fixes there should be no other issues.

Thank you all for you interesting and gelpful comments. I really appreciate the feedback.
Will have a look for those AFV sets. I'll use them on Iraq War era M113's where the side skirts can cover them up.
