Hi fellow modellers ,
I'm cheap. So I was looking for something to do zimmerit with while using "green putty" ( squadron) .
I was using a "gear" from an electric motor but couldn't get into the corners good enough. Well..low & behold...I noticed something. The top of a Tamiya paint bottle!!! Just use snips & sharp hobby knife to cut the right width & length !
So it works. Keep the putty dry while working with it by using regular mineral spirits (oil based paint thinner).
Here's what it looks like on my AFV Tiger I with black primer.

David,
I'm not sure why, but in my IE your Tiger zimmeritt sample images are not showing, only as "X"s.
It seems that to see the images, I would have to log into MS Live, which I do not have an account for.

"So it works. Keep the putty dry while working with it by using regular mineral spirits (oil based paint thinner)." - it's suppose to be , "keep the putty wet" , not dry lol sorry.

Nice work. I have found that the lid to the Squadron putty works well also.
