There is a photo of tiger 100 in a snow covered field and just behind is a panzer III ausf N with winterketten tracks, has anyone identified this tank?
I have just finished building Dragons panzer III N, also received Dragons initial tiger today and would love to set both tanks in a diorama as from the photo.
I'm hoping its #116

I looks like a IV, to me. It is difficult to discern, in the photo; especially as the III N looks very much like a IV.

Not sure myself Matt but considering the III ausf N was the tigers support vehicle around that time it could only be a panzer III?

Hi Karl ...the Schwere Panzerabteilung 502 in December of 1942 had Panzer III N's numbered 01,02 03,04,05,06 ,07,08
102,202,215,216,217,218, 225,226,227,and 228. They also had 9 M's. You can't really see the number on the tank in the picture but at least I narrowed it down a bit..
This info was taken from Tigers in Combat I
Hope it helps
