OK so with the new Riich Bren Carrier in hand and waiting patiently for their 6 pounder, I'm looking for colours / markings for the Rifle Brigade during El Alamein in their battle at 'Snipe'. Can't see there being many(?) photos but AOS and any other info would be a great help.

As far as I can tell, 2RB and 7RB were both with 7 Motor Bde at that time so presumably you mean either of those?
In which case, as that Bde was with 1 Armd Div at El Alamein I would expect that the AOS's would have been as follows (on green):
65 2KRRC
68 2RB
83 7RB

Just finished an excellent book from the local library called "Rifleman, a front line life" by "Victor Gregg with Rick Stroud", which tells the remarkable story of the life of Victor Gregg who was involved in the "snipe" action. Unfortunately no photos relevant, but may be worth trying to find.
