hi all
right, my problem is this : i have completed the base for my dio. I have begun painting the base for my dio. And then i had an idea. Doh!
My dio is that of a road junction ( a previously incomplete dio i'm finishing)(normandy? arnhem area) featuring a panther type g and a small unit of german werhmacht/ss taking cover behind it as they take fire from further along the road, trying to rescue a comrade who has been shot.
I was thinking of adding a telegraph pole, that had been knocked over and is strewn across the road, with road signs etc on it. I have some wooden kebab skewers that i thought i could use as the pole, but am stuck for the struts at the top where the cables would be.
any suggestions would be great!
thanx all ( am trying to breathe life into my digital cam for some pics asap)

In the armorama gallery, scroll down to the dioarama category. Click and then go to the references section.. buildings.. page 8.. asnville1. Kind of a long shot, but a start.. Probably
worthwhile to take a further look thru the photos and see what you find.. Lots of other sources im sure but this one is right on site and has some great pics. Good luck!

Tamiya makes a kit of lamp posts, telegraph poles and street signs. You should be able to pick it up for a couple of quid.

italeri do some telegraph poles too OOP but try king kit or kit krazy they might have some in
or use matches cut down to size dont worry about the wires from the poles as normally these come in different thickness's so scale shouldn't really matter just paint them black

wooden match sticks should be fine. You can also cut them down a bit if they are to big.
As far as signs - you can use a thin piece of styrene as backing. Or you can use a heavy card stock (paper). Maybe even a thin sheet of balsa wood.
Use white glue and water to add your sign. Or hand paint it.
Check this image out - looks like some type of sign on this post.
This one has a handbill right on the post
