Trumpeter brings us a great example of the USMC''s latest cargo truck, the Mk 23 MTVR.

Hi Seb. I tried using the provided jig, but it broke after about three failed attempts to bend the wire w/it. So, I bent the wire using a tweezers. I first bent it into a loop, then turned the tweezers 90 degrees and held the loop, then bent it into another loop. I cut one side of the second loop off and got a squiggly-S shape. Once I figured it out, it wasn't too bad, just a little tedious.

As to paint, hopefully soon. I leave for vacation for a few weeks starting Wed, so no work on models for a while. I'll be too busy soaking up rays on the beach.

Thanks for this review Gino! I've seriously been looking at this kit, and I look forward to seeing how it turns out when you have a chance to finish it up. Enjoy that sun

I finally dug this one out and put some paint on it. I used Krylon Max Italian Olive spray paint. It is marked as a USN Seabees vehicle with the Seabees door logo from the Echelon Gun Trucks in Vietnam (Part 2) (D356257) decal sheet. The USN number and triangle were made by me on computer decal paper. All of the placard decals and instrument panel are from the kit. The kit decals are pretty complete. I weathered it with steel and rust drybrushing for wear areas and gave it an overall sandy wash.

I like how it came out.

Interior details.

Front, rear, and underside details.

(The .50 cal is from Tamiya as there was no weapon in the kit.)

Echelon Seabees decal.

Navy Seabees, cool man. The green is on point.

Thanks guys. I like how it turned out. I figured the Seabees truck would be something you don't see often either.
