You were right, it wasn't until I saw someone mention it in another post that I noticed the rank change, I think at post #5004 or so. Hmm, took me just under 2 years to make the number of posts.Congrats Rob!!
And I don't even think he realised yet.

Jim, just a small request. Can you change the title to something else? I get blamed for a lot that goes on here, the "Site Commander" title is a little much. How about "General of Armorama" or something along those lines. Kind of like a real 5-star is "General of the Army". I don't have any more pull or say to what goes on with the site than most other moderators. Probably less than some since I only can affect the armor forum.

kglack43,
I think this happened when Jim made the default signature line shorter due to the number of long signature lines with multiple paragraphs. Some guys had picture links disappear due to the amount of character in the url address. I had to chose between the motor pool link and a signature. I could get one or the other but not both.
Thanks for the shots. I had noticed the last line of your previous signature line. It is nice to know where you stand with people.

Boy Howdy Rob!!!!!!!
Apparently now my eyes are failing me as well as my brain....I didn't see your new Rank until just now!
Being one of the 'oldies' here on Armorama myself, I'm pretty sure you know precisely where I stand in regards to how I feel about you and your endless contribution's to both this site and the membership here. I have posted those feeling's of honour and respect to you and been both proud and happy to do it.
Congratulations my friend, we are richer for having your presence on the site, and your learned council when it count's!!
Tread.
P.S. After having just seen the new Russel Crowe film ' Master and Commander - The far side of the world'..., maybe your new title should read ' Site Master & Commander - the far side of the armour world'?........nah.

Rob,
I was going to ask you about that title. I changed it to "General of the Army" because eventually we will also have the other branches with their officer ranks as well so this default rank will become the CO Army ranks.
Cheers,
Jim

Still room for one more star in the center too. After that, you should get some sort of a 'command flag', as I would suspect that it's getting difficult walking around with all that weight on ya...
It's nice knowin' ya Major!
If you are going to be PCS'd anytime soon, I'd sure like to get a peak of that M120 you got before you go. I've recently picked up the MR kit of that and well.... I do have a few detail questions that I need answered sometime.
