Hey all

I bought 2 cans of Mr. Hobby super (flat)(gloss) because I read they were really good. I am working on my second armor kit and just finished painting and and sprayed a flat coat to lock in the color on my barrel and exaust pipes and when I did they turned like a frosted color. So I had to reprint. I tried on scrap again and was good so now I sprayed the all over gloss coat and the gloss coat ate my base coat in some areas all the way down to the plastic,
Thru the yellow and the oxide primer. Has this happened to anyone before. But the spots that are ok the gloss coat looks as good as future. But the rest looks rough. I'll try and put pics in a bit. Also I was about 6-8 inches away with the can.

I have not used Mr. Hobby, but I have run into similar problems. Testors/MM has burn through Tamiya acryls, Future and MM enamels. I let my paint cure, for 72 hours before I apply a flat or gloss cote. I have not encountered this problem, when using lacquers for the gloss and flat coat. I have also had rubbing alcohol burn through acrylics. I now use water, for pigments.
