Have you tried CVS, Walgreens, etc? This stuff is used as a skin moisturizer.

Give your local drugstore a try....it is commonly and readily
available there.

Cheers,
Joe

Your local Walmart in the pharmacy section.

Just go up to the counter where folks drop off prescriptions and ask the pharmacist to point out which aisle.

Walmart's price is about US$1.00 cheaper than CVS. You can also get the denatured alcohol in the hardware / paint section of Wally-World.

There're some graphics with instructions here on our AMPS club website:

AMPS Central SC::Group Builds and Demos::Bases and Groundwork

This is the information from the 2-hour seminar on Bases and Groundwork presented at this year's (2013) AMPS International Convention in Atlanta, GA.

You'll find the information on preserving natural materials on slides 31-33.

Louis, what do you use that for ?

Hey Anthony, I don't know what Louis is using it for, but I have heard it used to keep diorama plants moisturized. I have some of Bragdon's pine branches and they recommend you spray them with glycerin every couple years to keep them soft and durable.
