Nicely composed dio, but...if they are in a fire fight indicated by the guys sheltering and firing from behind the large rock, it could prove fatal for the officers standing up in the open - brave, but foolish. Maybe they should be sheltering behind the rock too. BTW, you did a good job painting the Edelweiss badges on their caps. Looks like you used real rocks on your dio...must weigh a ton!

Thanks for looking and the positive comments.

The composition was meant to show that they had stopped to survey the lie of the land and the sniper and others were taking up covering fire positions just in case.

Thanks for looking and the positive comments.

I used the bristles of paint brush for the grass. They may have been too stiff,although I wanted to show the type of hardy grass that grows on mountainsides.
