Alpha, have you tried taking your pics outside in daylight with an artificial background and then crop it,it sometimes works for me.

Alpha,
I noticed that you, like many other diorama builders, make a diorama where the lines run parallel with the diorama base.... This creates a lot of straight angles (90 degree angles).
On your next diorama you (dio builders in general and not specially Alpha) could try to create some depth in your dioramas by running te diorama in different angles....it creates depth and is more attractive to the eye.
when you are planning your next layour, just try and see what you think of it.
About the pictures on MSN...why don't you use your won storageroom in our own Photopost Gallery ? This way you'll have them "onboard the site".
And finally, I feel that Arthur is right by his remark on making pictures in daylight... that provides better pictures for sure.

arthur/eagle,
thanks for the advice - to be honest i never even considered taking the pics outside - i think half the prob is that my camera doesnt capture the light very well but i shall try taking the pics outside for my next update.
Also ill remember the advice re angles - this is my first diorama in quite sometime, and to be honest i just ploughed into doing it, but im already considering my next diorama, and i think it will be smaller, and somewhat more interesting.
thanks for the tips - as always much appreciated!
thanks, alpha
