Can anyone tell me anything about Gunze Sangyo models? Are they good quality? Good Detail?

I see them now and again and always at a high price. I would like to know alittle more about them before I buy one.

Thanks!

Gunze kits these days are mostly Dragon kits reboxed for the Japanese market...before dragon ,Gunze kits were multi media kits with P/E and white metal parts in the box..Usually the white metal parts were just so..so. but they way ahead for the times ...Not the case anymore the quality of Tamiya and dragon kits has surpassed these kits ...You can still see alot of these kits which dragon used in their Panzer III series. I wouldn't pay the extra amount of money for these kits.

My only run in was with the Gunze Sanyo USMC M60A1 w/applique armor. Looked to be the Academy kit with some aftermarket accessories like metal applique and single link tracks, a lot of money for the kit. I did not buy it (way too much at the time, like $125).

Warhog,

If I am looking at the same on on ebay (Item number: 3159944810) that is just an addon for an existing tank.

The price on the WWII German armor is nuts unless it is truly a gift from the modeling gods
