Hello, I want to make a small diorama of a Soviet tank in a junkyard; at present time which type of tank would be most common? Thanks.

You'll come across all manner of exotic stuff in the Russian tank graveyards, generally though the common armour are T-64's, T-72's, and T-80's all of various versions. Theres still a few T-62's languishing around as well.

Without wanting to be snippy, that's a pretty generic question with little to go on.
If you are looking at a scrap yard, almost by definition, you can find a lot of all kinds of tanks there. If it is a yard near a working tank production facility, you'll probably find more recent stuff, including current vehicles back at the facility for refurbishment or after damage in the field.
If you are looking at a yard near a defunct base, it can be virtually anything from the last years of WW II to relatively modern equipment.
Can you be a bit more specific? It would allow us to help yuo more.
