I'm mainly a braille modeler but, picked up a Bandai German Side-Car BMW R/75. The kit I bought was for sale in Japan only as it has the German symbol with the Swastika in the lower left corner of the box top. My question is do I build it or keep it as is, unassembled.

If you are thinking it may be some kind of collectible, probably not so much. It is, I think, extremely rare for a plastic kit to gain any collectiblity, i.e., value, because of the box top art. If the molds are ruined you may have something that will gain a bit of value, like the T-35 from ICM, but even that is a crap shoot at best. Bottom line, if you like the kit build it!

Hi! BUILD IT! A different box doesn't increase or decrease the value of a kit in any way. The only REAL difference is that this kit, having a swastika in the lower left corner of the box, will not be sold in some countries because displaying the swastika is illegal there...

?: Tamiya doesn't make a 1/48th motorcycle.
Because of the design of the real wheel hubs, the lack of real spokes is not noticeable: This is one of Bandai's better kits, very refined in feel, and definitely a builder.
The collector market for these particular things is a pipe dream: I doubt any of them will ever climb to hundreds of dollars outsdie of the odd bidding war.
They may even come down in value as modellers decrease in numbers...

I've started to build the kit and I'm wondering what size of wire to use for the brake cables.
