XXX Corp hooked up with the 101st at Eindhoven. The 82nd was north, at Nijmegen.
Here are some pics of Endhoven. It doesn't look like the town got that beat up.

Nice pics !
It's true... Eindhoven got away with it pretty good. It was Nijmegen and Arnhem that got the most of the German Ammo.

Ola People
In Band of brothers you see them first coming into Eindhoven as the big heroes and everybody is happy. Then they have to get out of Eindhoven and in the evening you see Eindhoven getting shelled in the background???
I believe there was this quote said: "Will they still be happy with us now??"
I haven`t seen the series for a few weeks now but this is still in my mind as this topic came up

Hi all
Ok, so I'm not the brightest bulb in the lamp. After rechecking my references I admit I was wrong about the location of the Airborne forces The fact that the city was not damaged presents another problem. How do I model intact building, specialy ones that big ?

You might look at this.
It`s made by a dutch guy called Peter Stoof. He builds his buildings from the same foam I used for distraction. I know the buildings are damaged but this gives a nice idea of the buildup of a project like this. As that would be perfectly the same as for an intact building
More can be found under this link.

In a word, WOW! Those are some great looking buildings! Ok, first what are they made of? Are these kits, scratch built or what ? If they are scratch is this material hard to find and or use ? I've never built anything this large before but what the hey I'm game. You've given me some whole new ideas for this project. I hope you don't mind but there may be many more questions before its all over
Thanks again

The Buildings you see in the pictures are totally scratchbuilt
I don`t know it exactly what Peter uses but I pressume it`s something like "hardfoam" or "styrofoam" (I think they use Balsa Foam in the US is quite similar)
The fun thing about this is that you can cut it easily Damage it easily and one of the most coolest things: You can scribe any detail in it with an ordinary pen and it will hold every detail you scribed in it.
In this article I describe how I worked with this stuff to make the wall section for my dio DISTRACTION "greta`s revenge" I hope this is the answer to your questions if you need more simply mail me or PM me and I`ll try to answer your questions
