Very nice............a lot of small details wrong with it but a lot of details right. One thing on the nay side that jumped right out at me was the guy handling the spent shells , without wearing gloves. Maybe you can paint his hands black or find some hands in your stash that have gloves............nice job

Alfred

Thanks for looking and taking the time to reply.

This dio has been very informative for me as a lot of things pointed out are by ex military men who have had experience and know more about these things than me.

The gloves you mention is just another example of that.

Much appreciated

Gerry

Hi, Gerry,

Right you are: quite some minor, artillery technical, issues have been discussed by other forum members.
Being an artillery officer myself, I could discuss the position of the fire control officer next to the gun ( after two shots he has to search for all his docs and he would not hear any word spoken, no telephone lines to the orther guns etc. )
Nevertheless: it is modeling. You enjoyed building a gun site, in a way you liked. Remember: the most import thing is that you yourself should like it. So all other comments, how positively and constructively intended, are less important than your own feeling.
Furthermore, art guns require quite some space. Each gun would be approx. 5o m away from the next, a fire control center would be situated at the (center) back of the artillery battery, quite some telephone lines would lay between different guns, the fcc and than further bach to the rear area. Quite a challenge for a modeller with limited space for his hobby! A 6 gun battery with a space of 50 meter between the guns would require 7 meters width and at least 2 meters depth.

I liked your work! Thanks for showing it.
