so i was wondering if anyone could point me towards a company or specific kit that is, or could passed off as a soviet tank crew resting.

You have to look at Flames of War gaming miniatures for
1:100 scale figures.
To my knowledge this is a war gaming scale and I have never seen figures
in that scale from other model manufacturers.

I know that Zvezda makes some vehicles in 1:100 scale but
not sure if they make figures.

Google Flames of War and much material will come up.

Try looking for wwII 15mm miniatures. This is the dismounted tank crew Battlefront Have. You can try Old Glory althou they don't have pictures. Peter Pig Is also a good source for 15mm. It is mostly a wargaming scale so can be hard finding what you are looking for so you probably gonna have to take out the green stuff for conversion work.
