Hi Guys,
I was wondering if anyone could point me in the direction for info on the low level 3 axle trailer that the MAZ 537 could tow. I am wanting to try & convert the normal tank transporter 2 axle version & have no idea of info about it.
I.e was the same trailer connection into the maz the same
Would it be possible to use the trailers in each of the maz tank transporter sets to make 1 3 axle version, as I have the late maz kit & have seen the mid version at an ok price.
Cheers Mike

Hi!
Well, this trailer also comes in different versions as far as I know. You might look here, is it this trailer that you are interested in?
http://www.primeportal.net/trucks/gabor_fodor/maz-537/
AFAIK, this trailer has the designation ChMZAP 9990 and there is acutally a 1/72 kit that looks quite nice:
http://karopka.ru/community/user/7343/?MODEL=294376
It comes from Armada, No.72112 Armada Hobby ChMZAP-9990 52/65
Maybe you can scale it up?
You may also google ЧМЗАП-9990 which is the cyrilic type. But donīt be too enthusiastic when finding drawings around, there are a few civilian trailer versions of ChMZAP 9990 around and the drawings show these. Have a look at the wheels of the military version. In case if you do have twin wheels, it is mostly civilian. The military version has 4 single wheels per axle line, it is more a six short axle version with inner and outer wheels.
Research is not that easy. I would love to have an AM kit of this trailer, but lack the time to scratch build one myself.
