Hi Chris,
first your dio itself looks very good and you captured the movie look very good. I like your work at the buildings with good eyes for Details.
My only Problem is like Nicolas said the Sherman tank?
This one is an WW2 tank and wasn´t used in Vietnam and not in the movie. The tank in the movie is an M41A Walker Bulldog and was used in Korea and Vietnam. So you have the right buildings and the idea is great too but the sherman tank is a no go for Vietnam and the movie "copy".
Greetings
Stefan

That's explained then!
Your dio is strongly related to the movie, certainly not to HUE. The actual town does not look like the movie location at all!
Will follow this thread closely when you'll include representative vehicles and figures!
Cheers

Looks like a pretty good job on the groundwork and figures. Like the others have said, the jeep and Sherman tank are way off. Neither was used during the Vietnam war. It should be an M151A1 jeep and an M48A3 tank.

I think the location used in the movie was an old gas works, also the palm trees I beleive were imported from Spain, so not really coconut trees but date palms? As others have stated, the buildings in the movie don't really reflect the look of buildings in Hue city. Congrats, you've captured the look of the set really well minus the Sherman and Willis.
