Hi Guys. With all the brands of paint out there, just wondering which brand and colour / number most accurately represents or is closest to the CARC sand used on current service M-1151's operating in Afghanistan? I prefer to use Acrylics, but I also have Model Master US Army / Marines Sand in my stock. I also have Velajo, Tamiya, Lifecolor and Gunze in my stash. Just don't know which is the best to go with. Thanks in advance. Cheers.

Closest match is Testors Model Master Sand, FS33531. It comes in both enamel and acrylic.
Don't use the US Army / Marines Sand. It is based on a non-FS color used during Operation Desert Shield/Storm ('90-'91) to quickly repaint vehicles as they got to Saudi Arabia. It is not even close to the current Sand.

Gunze H313 has the same FS number than the Model Master color but it looks darker.
