As the title says, what was the color of French primer?

AFAIK, it was a red brown anti-rust primer called "minium". I guess it probably resembled its German equivalent

If we're talking about the red-oxid primer, maybe the Vallejo 982 cavalry brown color is matching.

Yeah, I have been using that on my german armor. Looks pretty good.
