You'll have to cut open up the turret ring of the Dragon kit to make it work, but that's nothing too hard.

This really is like putting lipstick on a pig.
The DML kit is a heap of crap and honestly not worth bothering with. If you're going to folk out some dollar on that beautiful resin turret then you really should get the Tamiya kit.

The Dragon T-72 is a good way to start a campfire...

just might do that, unless trump comes out with a T72 in the not too distant future. the dragon, old as it is, really isn't all that bad, despite having some molded on hull detail which really isn't the best way to go

Hi;
I agree that the Dragon kit is awful, but take into account how old it is. Now its o.k. too practice on and try your hand at Scratch Building, see how much you can improve it. But some people don't like that approach, that's fine.
its a cheaper way too improve your skills.
And if you make a Big Mistake it will be less painful.
CHEERS; MIKE.

You might want to rebuild that driver's hatch too. I know Soviet tank crewmen were small but they did still have to be adults.
Still, it's better than Esci's effort, which I recall was so bad that the turret didn't even fit.
