This new one is the best example yet of what I have been writing about concerning your work here. These figs are light years better than the ones I first saw you post on this website. The scale of the dots on the cammo is very good and not too large.
Maybe the metal parts of the weapons can be darker? They were not usually shiny like this. I use dark grey and then put steel highlites.
Are you using Vallejo paint? There is a slight shinyness to the uniforms and I am having the same problem and am using Vallejo paint. Just wondering.

Simply superb! I can only imagine how long the camo took. The base is spectacular, of its own accord. Are the rocks preformed or cast from a mold?

Thanks for looking and taking the time to comment.
It is encouraging learn from fellow modelers that your efforts are improving.
You are quite right I use Vallejo paints and they can give a bit of a sheen.
I use Dark grey and gun metal on the weapons.
Cheers

The rocks are pre formed and came as part of the base.

Hi Gerry,
I must concur with the others...this little vignette shows quality!! Practice makes perfect they say, and the rate you produce these scenes makes sure your progress is fast AND spectacular! Well done indeed Sir!!
Let me just throw in my 5c worth of constructive comments:
Jerry is right! Metal parts on a WWII weapon were near black. Type "K98" into Google, and you'll see what I mean. The time when barrels were all shiny ended in the XIXth century I'm afraid.
And one more thing if you'll allow me: you are investing a great deal of work and time into the Flecktarnung, and the result is spectacular (isn't that why this camo is so popular!??!), but the colours are unfortunately wrong. Take a look at the following site and you will see the difference.

Don't think I'm being picky, but you are doing so well and I'd like to help you a little along the way.
Do keep posting for our pleasure!!

One word - Beautiful!
It never ceases to amaze me when I happen upon these SS camoflage schemes painted with such care and PATIENCE, and steady hands too! Very nice vignette Gerry.
Romain- Thanks for that link, wow that's gonna be helpful when I get to my D-Day Campaign.
Cheers
