Hi everyone.
I have been working on a Tamiya King Tiger Porsche Turret. I am having some concerns with the fit of the rear plate to the chassis to the hull. The rear plate doesn't seem to fit quite right even with some sanding. Both sides of the chassis angle down a bit from where they'd meet the outer portions of the rear plate. Test fitting the three pieces also seems to highlight another fit issue: the hull to the chassis with gapping where the hull meets the rear plate. I have found the same issue with the Tamiya King Tiger-Ardennes. Any thoughts or suggestions? Thanks. Alex

Hi, Alex!
Is this your problem that the both sides of KT chassis are leans inward? This was my problem when I builded the Dragon Elefant about 1,5 years ago. I so solved the issue that I glued a piece of sprue between the side plates. Like it seems on pic. (Apologize when I misunderstood your problem.)
Regards
Antal

Hi Antal.
It's weird, the hull and the chassis fit well. Add the rear plate and it throws everything off. It seems that the rear plate is a bit squared off while the chassis seems to be angled off. When test fitting, there is a small gap where the fenders would be located and the chassis bows down at an angle on both sides. Two Tamiya King Tiger kits, same issue. I have never encountered these kind of fit issues with Tamiya kits. Thanks. Alex
