Hi David,
Overall a nicely done diorama and very nice painting....
but if I may suggest:
The observer with the binos, would be better
placed behind the rocks and not in front...too easy a target.
Also you could sand flush those clumps of mud along the
edges of your base....would make for a more finished look.

As the other poster said about the edges, it would sure look better. Clay tends to dry out and crack after a time. And if the base isn't really strong, the edges will droop and crack if you pick the whole dio up.
