Great vig! I will not put any longer comments on it, since just now on I really take a sample and learn from yours on how you perform specific paintings, especially the horses. Really lifelike and congratulations
Cheers

Very nice work Gerry. Oddly I just took this set out of my stash for a quick build.

Better and better every time, Gerry. Where do you find the time to build all your dioramas? You have a gang of model fairies hard at work in the basement?

I wish you luck with the build.
The swords are a pain as they are so fragile.

My wife wishes I did have some elfs as she would see a lot more of me.
Still absence makes the heart grow fonder.

The cloaks look fine in the flesh I think it was the light I use to take the photographs that is making them shine?
I still have to master the art of photography.

Another one already!!
I got some good advice on another forum about the shine from Vallejo paints as I have had the same problem. Mix a little Tamiya flat base into your paint.

Have to agree. Kudos for the effort you put into your work ... and for how much the quality has improved.
Lovely little vignette ... its perfect composition-wise, and the colours draw in the viewer. I like the lining you do around the details. Id recommend painting the static grass and adding more variation to it, areas without grass, stones, longer grass. Even adding some elevation to the groundwork gives a lot.

I tend to try and keep the grounswork as simple as I can as the vignettes are small and I do not want to take too much of the viewers eye away from the main subject.
I will try one with the suggestions you made with longer grass and patches ect.
Cheers
