This is the Monitor from Nimix with figures from Verlinden that i've built almost 20 years ago.( time flies)Now after all those years i finally made some photos with my iPad.The Diorama is still in a good condition,i only have to replace the numbers on the Monitor in the front that "are lost" many years ago.

Three years ago i bought a Monitor (howitzer)but i haven't built very much so far.I really dislike building the Mark-48 turrets, those turrets are really a pain in the ass.

Monitor from Brownwater.net.

It's strange that i can't find many built Monitors or diorama's with a Monitor on the internet.

Given how much work you've put into your howitzer monitor, I'm not surprised at all!

Hi Ronaldo,

I'm glad you posted this after all this time, it's worth it!
That's a big dio with lots to see. I guess the size of this model may also be a reason why you don't see too many dio's with it.

again; great job

Not to mention these things are rather on the pricey side

Very nice dio Ronaldo, well worth the time and effort!

Great stuff Ronaldo,

looks really great and the Moniot model itself is an eyecatcher. You put much effort in this Model and the Details. There were also some other Vietnam river boats on the market from Masterpiece Models in the past but they are also very expensive like the Nimix one and on high skill level to build. This should be the reason why you don´t find much other Models in the net. You need much money and really time to build one. Like you said the turrets are painfull to build on what i have seen on other sites.

Have a look on this site for the other Models and some building pictures.

Brown water Navy

bye, bye

Hi,

Paul:sorry, that's a misunderstanding, the photo of the howitzer monitor is from brownwater.net.I'm still struggling with those turrets.

Stefan:Yes they are expensive, but all the Monitors are sold out,so they are not building it?I know that site, thanks, without those Assembly Tips from Brownwater i wouldn't have bought it.

I finally place some photos and then they are so small.I have used another photo hosting site,so allow me to place the photos again.

Thanks for the bigger photos: that is a beautiful diorama full of detail! Well done and thanks for sharing.

I've done a PBR and an LSSC before, but not in a diorama. Would love to be able to afford one of these vessels....

Very nice job on the Monitor and superb diorama. I have the Monitor from Masterpiece Models. Have not touched since I purchased the kit many years ago.

Well Kenneth; hold on to your Masterpiece Models kit; if I understood correctly, it’s uncertain if they keep producing their BWN kits (most likely not!) and I think someone else may take over but who is not sure. These kits were very nice and I think the VN Brown Water Navy is a great subject.

Best regards,
Mark

(ps I heard AFV Club may be doing a VN Hurricane airboat!)

Chris,

Yes,i know and i appreciate that very much but i really don't know what i can ask you.I have bought the evergreen as you told me last year, but to cut everything in the right size and glue it together isn't easy.
