An excellent discussion, Frederico, of a subject - scale lighting effects - that many model builders will not even acknowledge exists.
I think that's it's worth emphasizing that finishing and weathering to overcome these effects and to produce a scale model that replicates the look of its prototype is where the "artistry" of modeling is found.
Your efforts to quantify these effects are well done.
Dealing with these effects is one of the things that set Leonardo da Vinci apart as a master, and that same effort also sets apart the work of many modelers.
