Hi people!

Does anyone used this primer? Is the color correct? Can I use it to paint the D9R?

Thanks!

Marco;
I have just used it recently on my Tiran 5. The color is more brown-ish grey than sandy. It worked really well as a good primer for me and what I was doing and I think will work better for the newer "sandy" IDF color scheme that the D9 is done in. Hope this helps. Cheers.

Sure it helped. Thanks Damon! I think I will buy one to test. Some time ago I tested a mix of 45% desert tan and 55% olive drab (both VA primers) and the result looks great.

Look my Merkava IV (Academy)

What do you think about the color?

BTW, your Tiran looks great!

Cheers!

Thanks Damon! I think I will use this blend in Doobi.

This is an Academy's IDF tank crew.

Cheers!

Vallejo 73614 Surface Primer IDF Sand Grey will save you a lot of time mixing. I am using it for my current build, an Academy Mk. IV LIC. I drop it right into my airbrush cup. No thinning required. It is an excellent base color for a modern IDF armor kit!

Hi Marco,
i use the Vallejo Primer , when applied it Looks a to brownish in my eyes. I add thin layers of Vallejo Model Air 71044 LT. Grey Green After the priming with IDF Sand Grey. On Facebook at AMPS Israel you can see some pics how the color looks on my Achzarit if you are interested. At the Moment i am only online with the IPad, cant Post any pics here....
Cheers Chris

Hi guys!

Thank you very much!

I think you'll glad to know that I've used Vallejo's IDF primer to paint my D9R.

You can see the result here

The result is fantastic as you said.

Cheers!

Marco
