I think the most beautiful Sherman kit from Dragon...tracks T 49 are from 4A1 Sherman[Normandy],another 1/72 Dragon kit.
Painted with Agama acrylic, in dry-brush mode, washes with tamiya buff, wheathering with Agama pigments...
Many pictures because i am a very weak photograf, some with blitz, some whithout...:
Cheers!

Hey Dani!
Very nice build you have there and it's also good to see a Sherman with some camouflage. Just wondering, what did you use for all the stowage, specially the big tarp covered bundle on the engine deck? Glad to see you posting again.
Cheers,
Jan

Hi Jan!
"Glad to see you posting again."-unfotunately my free time, don't alow me to follow the forums,so, when i catch 2 free days,i build and post something...
Stowages are remaining pieces from 1/72,1/35[the big stowage from engine deck] kits.
Cheers!

A couple of points of constructive criticism, if I may:
The seam between the upper & lower turret halves needs to be a bit tighter. Yes, the actual tank had a seam there, but if you want to replicate that, then the turret halves need to fit better and then can add putty to have a more natural cast seam.
The large tarp & stowage on the engine deck sits over almost all of the air inlet louvres. The air louvres feed the radiators. Crews would not pack those louvres with stowage as it can affect the tank's cooling system.
The stowage boxes on the front and back should really be tied down as loose like this they would be thrown off the tank pretty easily.
It's a small thing, but even in 1/72, the jerry cans should have 3 handles.
Do you have some references that show this vehicel without any allied stars? That would be unusual, but if your photos show it, I can buy it.
Just a few thoughts.

Hi Paul,
No problem,i try to answer at all your points.
1.I purposely left the joints more visible, because of scale,,for a better view, comparatif with the real turret. If you see carefully,is no empty space betwen the joints.
2."The air louvres feed the radiators."-i know that,BUT..."Crews would not pack those louvres with stowage as it can affect the tank's cooling system."-i'm not agree with you-no offence,i hope.I've see a lot of pictures,on books or on net, with Sherman's ,full of stowages...first what i find quickly, now,is :http://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/File:M4-Sherman_tank-European_theatre.jpg.If we search,i'm sure will find a lot of pictures...
3."The stowage boxes on the front and back should really be tied down as loose like this they would be thrown off the tank pretty easily"-depends on stowage ,is not a rule, look carefully at the pictures:http://www.wwiivehicles.com/usa/tanks-medium/m4.asp.
4."It's a small thing, but even in 1/72, the jerry cans should have 3 handles."-i'm agree with you,BUT...i'm too lazy.
5."Do you have some references that show this vehicel without any allied stars? That would be unusual, but if your photos show it, I can buy it."-ofcourse sir:
So,you can buy't now,but for a perfect kit,you must buy another few things:
-first,the decals are incomplete, like you see in the picture.I think Bison made a complete set of decals:
-second,you need another tracks, T 49,the kit give you, only the T 48 type;if you buy the Sherman 4A1 Normandy[no.7273 Dragon],you will find a couple of T-49 type tracks, like bonus
-Thirdly, you need buckets with spokes-you will find excellent buckets in Trumpeter kit M 4 Sherman
I hope no offence!
Cheers,
Dani
