About to start a few Vietnam themed builds. And when researching I've found FS34079 to be around the right color. But it loos like a Dark Green. Is this right?

After they were fielded, I believed they were painted whatever green the soldiers could find. Some people, here will argue that they were always painted the same color. That is simply untrue. I have a few older friends, who served in Vietnam. This includes my step-father and father. Both say they used whatever green they could find.

The Army's official paint scheme was supposed to be FS26087.
I know we used spray cans on occasion .FS34079 is associated more with the Air Force but found its way onto everyone else's equipment

Okay thank you for that Dave. So a Ford Mutt wouldn't look out of place in FS34079?
