I've been a fan of Renwal kits for the last 50 years; problem was, I could never afford them as a kid. I went back to modelling seriously when I retired last year, and since then I've been stashing away all the Renwal re-pops I can get my hands on.

The Nike has been the missing link, until today, that is. It hasn't arrived in the UK yet, unlike the Atomic Cannon (which I built over a weekend), but a supplier in Providence has solved this problem for a very reasonable price.

Now for the Skysweeper.... surely it's got to be next!

I wonder how many will buy and build these kits purly for sentimental rasons? I understand there will be a few that will buy them, as there is probably nothing else available like the Atomic Cannon kit, but for me that missed this era and do not build modern (post WW2) these have no interest at all. One; because of subject and two; because of the quality standard that has long since been surpassed. Suppose Im not the target audience for these releases.

I built the Duster and the Bulldog and the Atomic Cannon. I, too, look forward to building the Skysweeper, also the Big Shot. They were discontinued way too soon waaaayyy back when!

These are out of my era yet that is the reason I'm acquiring them. They help me battle AMS (Advanced Modeler Syndrome) I know of lots of us old folks who are lining up for these!
