Just uploaded a few photos of Revell's 1/72 Bradley;

https://armorama.kitmaker.net/photos/showgallery.php?ppuser=600 .

It's an awesome kit.

Am about 95% finished as I still have to add stowage and an air ID panel.

Hi Wow! that's one find piece of workmanship there. And 1/72 to top it all off. Fantastic weathering on it too. See your model has that little round piece that goes around the front end, just up over those rubber sand guards (or at least that's what I take them for). Tamiya included this piece in their 1/35 scale model Bradley, but did not say to use it, or even what it was for.

Once again, great job.

Take care, sgirty

Agree - it looks both nice and fun! I might have to give some of the recent 1:72 scale stuff another look...

I had that kit in my hand today and put it back. I hope it's still there when I go back.
Great build Steve.

Be careful when purchasing the new Revell 1/72 scale kits. I started out with a T-80 I bought several years ago. When I finally got around to building it, I was fairly pleased and scooped up a Marder 1A3 that was in the clearance bin at a local shop ($4.95). I've since bought two Bradleys, several Abrams, PzHbtz 2000, Leopard 2A5 KWS, Tiger I Ausf. H, StuG 40 Ausf. G, a second Marder 1A3 and second T-80. I also have a Challenger I and Leopard 2A4 inbound that I traded a couple of Esci Sd.Kfz 251s for.

Then there is the PE issue. I bought the Eduard PE for the PzHbtz 2000, both T-80s and the Tiger I and the Part PE for the Bradleys and StuG 40. I have the ExtraTech PE for the Marder 1A3 and the Abrams tanks. The Part PE sets are the nicest.

BTW Steve, did your Bradley come with parts to make both the M2A2 and M3A2? One of mine did and the other did not.

Yes, the kit comes with several parts to make an M3A2, but from what I have heard, more than this is needed to make the M3 version. There are markings and painting instructions for an M3 included as well.

Thanks for the comments. This is a very nice and I am currently working on Revell's M1A1 to go along with it. This to is a very nice kit.

These kits are great. I can't say enough about them. I have several others in the works as well. One I'm excited about is the Fuchs that I'm going to do as a UN vehicle. Also, the Panzer IV looks absolutely AMAZING on the sprues. So does the Merkava 3. You can't believe how many parts there are.

I'm so impressed by the quality of Revell's moldings and the attention to detail. Even the length and link tracks are highly detailed.

Steve, thanks for the pics, I had also heard great things about these kits, nice to see it confirmed with your photos.... As I can actually get my hands on some of these little beauties, I think now I´ll take the plunge.... Anyone got any suggestions where to start? (apart from the Bradley of course...)...Jim

Yes!

For a first try, go with the newer Revell offerings. (Beware, a few of their kits are reboxed from old molds.)

If you like modern, the M1A1, Bradley, Warrior, Challenger, Fuchs, Merkava, and Luchs are all very nice, state of the art kits.

For WWII, I hear that the Tigers (H & E) are fantastic, the Panzer IV as mentioned above, Panzer III, King Tiger, and Cromwell. Also, they have a new T-34/85.

At about $10 each, you can get a few!

Let me know how it goes.

Steve

PS - http://www.ontheway.us/default.htm is a very good place for info.

There's a lot of intersting 1/72 stuff out therre. the one that really got me going was the Lopard Bridgelayer by Revell. This could get expensive! (:-)

What else is missing to make the M2A2 into an M3A2?

Wow, great looking Bradley!

I hope my 1/35 one will look as good as this little thing
Great work Steve, thanks for sharing!

But I have a strange feeling that Revell used Tamiya 1/35 M2A2 kit as a prototype to design thier small scale kit. On Steve's pictures I noticed that old type TOW launcher is used - just like in Tamiya kit, while in reality (I mean on photos ) I have never seen A2 variant with this old launcher type. Also the gun mantlet looks exactly like in Tamiya kit. and the swim barrier on the front of the vehicle... Interesting

I'm certainly no expert on these vehicles but it is an interesting comment! Maybe Rob can chime in here?

To be honest, I didn't spend too much time in the research deptartment on this one. I have another that I want to do in a 3 color NATO scheme and may think about some corrections.

Tonight, I'm going to break out the airbrush and start on my small scale Panther. Also have an M1A1 ready for paint as well as a WWI Sturmpanzer.

Fun that you can build a few kits and then paint and weather at your leisure!

I spent some time yesterday working on my 1/35 Lee Models M2A2 kit (poor copy of Tamiya), and was also checking some parts in the box of the new Tamiya's M2A2 ODS and now I'm 100% sure that Revell 1/72 kit is a shrunk copy of Tamiya All errors that Tamiya made in shape and detail of front armor plate are repeated in this small model... Each misplaced bolt on Tamiya model is also misplaced here. Amazing that they did not spend a little extra time to fix those errors.

Anyway, Steve - your model is great regardless! This was obviously OOTB project, so all the fault for these inaccuracies is on Revell's side!
