For soaking a clogged airbrush nozzle and a dirty needle, which is gentler, lacquer thinner or denatured alcohol? I soaked them in Simple Green overnight, but it didn't do much.

If I am not mistaken it depends on the type of paint you were using , I used lacquer thinner on enammels and the other for acrylics..

Denatured alcohol is gentler....if you AB parts are really
dirty, you may want to use lacquer thinner, works much faster.
NB Use a hobby lacquer thinner ie Tamiya or Mr. Hobby...
less harsh on o rings.
Cheers,
Joe
