Without a doubt you used all the advice in your earlier post..Very nice job on a first dio. Any chance you can lighten up the photos for a clearer view?

your first dio looks nice.
maybe you can edit the pictures a little bit in Photoshop to make lighter.
or use a little mor light when you make the photos.
I think i saw an article about making photos , on armorama or Track-link

After seeing Keenans try to make a lighter picture I wanted to do one too. thios is not a competition thingy but I simply wanted to give it a try. I removed almost 80 percent of the yellow and red colors that overruled most of the picture. This is the result of 20 minutes working.
It did not gain much quality but the colors are a bit better visible

Meissen, taking pictures outside on a sunny day does help, a lot. I don't know about IL but here in Indiana I will probably not have another sunny day until May...

Nice composition of the figures and the brick painting looks good as well. Were these pieces scratchbuilt?

Easy_Co,the kneeling figure isnt a conversion, but i wish i could make a conversion look that natural and clean! The fallen soldier is a conversion though. KFMagee, yep, everything except the figures/tank were scratch built. i used plaster for pretty much everything. i think i may start using foam board, cuz that plaster was a huge mess sanding and cutting. dust everywhere and plaster clogged tools.

Nick - this is an ANCIENT thread (4 1/2 years old - check the dates!) and the dude hasn't been back here since November 2007.

I don't believe we every got to see any better pictures of this diorama, shame. Perhaps the sun hasn't shone in Illinois since 2003
