I just got a heads up from Hobbyeasy that my M109A6 kit will not be shipping this week, as they had expected, and will instead be delayed for another four weeks because of unspecified "manufacturing problems" AFV Club encountered. Just thought you all should know.

I wondered what was going on- it changed from preorder 9-1 to in stock to preorder 9-2 to in stock and finally to preorder 10-2. I thought maybe they were selling out

Yeah--apparently I ordered in the brief window when it showed as "in stock" and threw a couple of other items into the order, so they reached out to me to let me know and to ask me what I wanted to do with the rest of my order in the meantime.

I ordered when they were showing as "In stock" as well. Maybe some good news- the expected date changed to 9/16/2013

The good news is that I have just received the AFV Club M109A6 Paladin for review direct from the manufacturer (and the NM116 and Dieppe Churchill). I guess that another couple of weeks will see it in the shops and I will try to find out something more definite.

At first glance this kit looks awesome. Compared to the previous AFV Club M109A2 (which I reviewed here: http://modelerssocialclub.proboards.com/thread/3939/afv-club-m109a2-howitzer), this kit has a completely revised turret, some clever self-adhesive non-slip panels for the hull top, a much bigger gun travel lock and different T154 tracks.

When my review is done I will let you all know.

I now have further info from my contact in Hong Kong:
Orders should be shipped out over the weekend by Lucky Model and Hobbyeasy.

UK and US should be getting theirs soon as they were shipped out weeks in advance because the much longer voyage for them.
