chumpo you are not logical.. for the price of this D + the tristar set.. you can buy 4 Pz4D of tristar or 3 old models of Excelent Dragon 4D.

You fail to take into consideration that I have the Tristar 35014 in my possession already. That's why for me it's an option. If I did not I would not of brought it up .

So does this have only one hull. I take it that is the early hull, does it have the extra armor for late Panzer IV D ?

your option is only yours.. not of the rest in general. respect the rest of your earle/late model.. if you want to build upgraded 4D with L48, 40cm tracks and schurzen, this kit is fine.

So the main problem is with the running gear 1. No rubber for the early rims, it seems like the rest of the early suspension is there. 2. The DS tracks are the late ones 40 cm . 3. It comes with the early hull , no extra armor . Then it might be easier to tropicalize the earlier panzer IV D kit the 6265 .Just need the reference materials . I don't mean the up gunned D version. Besides the 6265 is available on line and its cheaper price wise and it come with the magic tracks . I just looked at the 6295 there's already an Afrika Korps version in the kit .

No Emanuel. Tom is also the advisor for many kits and has been for time. But he has also stated that Dragon do not always listen to his advice ... sometimes it is just too late when he detects problems and the kit is already being produced, others just appear that dont listen. Have seen various posts from him over the years regarding this.

why don't they let Emanuel do the next build review and see if he can do a better job , it's easy to criticize it's hard to do .

because is not a grate trade for the company. Recently in ML I begin one discuss about the measurements of Dragon RSO-01 vs Italeri/Perless. Used for compare the measurements of one real, nuts & bolts, waffen arsenal and waffen review, show the model of dragon is very little and is more in scale 1/40 in the cabin because the difference is more of 3mm.
