On a badger 150 the notches on the end of the needles do they indicate if it I'd fine , medium or heavy. I have seen the heads are sometimes marked but that's not all the time .

I have the (now long in years) Badger Crescendo 175T and yes the needles are marked like that. Can't verify if it is the same for your model.

Cheers

The replacement needles are like that. It's just sometimes you find unmarked needles . Maybe they are not original badger needles then ? Thanks a lot .

The unmarked needles are produced by different companies. I used to have a 150.

. So if they ever get mixed up how do you sort them ? That why I asked this question , I had some that were not maked and my kids mixed them up when they thrashed my airbrush. I just went by how far they stick out of the tip , seems to work fine .

Chumpo, I have an old Badger 150 that I bought back in the early 1980's and I still have it and the original needles that came with it. Here is what the Badger Rep. told me years ago ...(1) mark = Fine Tip ... (2) marks or No marks = Medium Tip ... (3) marks = Heavy Duty Tip.

I still use this old 150 with the same needles that came with it, and it still does a good job. Although, my Medium needle is worn down now at the area where it passes through the trigger slot.

I called Badger last week and I am going to send it to them in the next few days so that they can install a new needle seal inside of the body. I'll order a new Medium needle while they've got it as well.

And by the way, the "Crown Type" replacement head goes by an alphabetical lettering identification, for example. (1) "F" = Fine .. "M" or "blank" = Medium ..(3) "HD" = heavy material.

Hope this helps. Greg
