I'm planing on ordering replacement parts for my airbrush and I have a question. Which set should I get Medium or fine? Would the medium set be good for free hand camouflage or should I get the fine set? I only have this one airbrush, so would either of the sets do all the work(priming, painting, coating...)?
P.S is lubricant necessary for an airbrush? Is Badger needle juice good?

Any mechanical device where metal meets metal moving parts needs some lubrication..but VERY small in an airbrush..mine just get a tiny bit of very light oil in the rear where the moving parts work..NEVER get lube in the forward parts where the air and paint live..
Why not get both sets??

I'm with Gary, why not get both sets?
Do you currently have either one in the airbrush? If so, just replace the needle.
If you can only go with one, get the medium and get the nozzle right down to the surface for tight lines with minimal overspray and the ability to increase the spray pattern by pulling back from the surface.

My patriot has a Fine needle set. Well it says fine but it's 0.5mm. Medium set is 0.76mm. What would be the benefits of this set?

I don't want to spend a lot of money. I'm also ordering more parts and it ads up.

The smaller the needle, the finer the line you can paint. The thicker the needle, the wider the pattern you can paint.
